It seems like more and more, home builders are forgoing the formal dining room in favor of more casual dining areas attached to the kitchen. We often find ourselves eating in the kitchen or on the go, but I love how this open floor plan makes it easy to use the dining space. How about you? Do you use your formal dining room? If any of my kitchen appliances went out on me unexpectedly, the one that would be the most devastating would be the refrigerator!! Do you have a kitchen appliance that’s on the fritz but you’re not sure whether to repair it or replace it? Although the average lifespan of kitchen appliances is approximately 10-15 years, it is totally dependent on consistent cleaning, proper use and regular maintenance. Which one of your kitchen appliances would you be repairing and which ones would you be replacing?

If you are getting a little tired of soaping up and sanitizing during the pandemic, I have some tips to help you keep your homes safe and families healthy: 1) Before you disinfect surfaces, do a quick pre-clean to remove any visible dust, dirt, or grime. 2) Use your cleaner or disinfectant exactly as directed on the packaging. 3) After disinfecting, let the surface air dry. It needs to stay wet for as long as is recommended in order to kill germs properly! 4) When disinfecting food contact surfaces or children's toys, rinse them with water once they have air-dried. 5) Throw disinfectant wipes in the garbage -- don't flush them!
