Summer is officially here, but there was a whole lotta busyness before it started! Here are a few highlights:
1. One thing we love about summer kicking off is getting a summer pass to the local bowling alley. We get them every year. They run from Memorial Day to Labor Day and allow for 2 games, shoe rental and a $5 arcade credit each time we bowl. The kids love it.
2. My youngest son turned 10 years old. Now all of my kids are in the double digits.
3. I spent Mother’s Day with my mom. It was a sweet time together. My youngest made me a scavenger hunt on his iPad for me as a gift - it was very creative.
4. I watched my daughter compete at her first sectionals and swim meet, and she placed in the top 16 in 2 events. I’m so proud of her!
5. Our youngest made steak frites for dinner - it was very delicious! Hopefully he cooks for us again soon.
6. The boys competed in the Lego League scrimmage at CNU representing their elementary and middle schools. As a mom, I love Lego League because it teaches coding (they code the robots) but also teaches teamwork and presentation skills. I’m so thankful for coaches who invest a zillion hours of time with the kids each year.
7. And lastly, our doggo loved the many car rides!
Summer means putting a bucket list of things to do together as a family. I love the memories we make and the warm weather it brings. 🙂
