Rick: I developed a passion for homes and building while growing up in Santa Cruz, CA. My father was a contractor and we would spend countless hours on his jobsites. This experience cultivated my keen eye for quality craftsmanship and an imagination for possibilities. Living in Bend for nearly two decades and owning a residential construction business since 2004, I’ve worked with numerous clients on projects ranging from new homes to small remodels. That experience strengthened my listening and communication skills, allowing me to work cohesively with my clients, and giving a product they loved. By combining my familiarity of central Oregon, knowledge of the real estate market and an extensive construction background, we can navigate this journey together. We are true Bend locals. Abbie, a native Oregonian and Rick, a transplant from Santa Cruz, have both called Bend home for 20 years. You can trust we know the ins and outs of all the neighborhoods, what to do, and the best of what Central Oregon has to offer.

We always bring a professional hardworking and can-do attitude with us into every aspect of our lives. Before we worked together as Team Sams we gained some of our most valuable skills operating and owning successful businesses. Rick was a general contractor for 14 years so his extensive knowledge of homes, building practices and remodel advice is gold! If he doesn’t know the answer he knows where to go and who to ask to find out. Abbie’s years of experience in marketing, sales and office management contribute to her ability to keep clients in the loop and the transactions flowing seamlessly. Combining her thoroughness and attention to detail (nicknamed Eagle Eye) she guarantees the documents and contracts are accurate and everyone involved stays on task by having clear timelines and expectations laid out. Lucky for our clients when we mix all of these forces together we form one Super Agent!
