Looking at the Hickory market right before Spring!
Longer days on the market have us seeing more price decreases and more negotiating.
Sellers need to know that your listing may sit for a while. Be prepared to negotiate your list price and other terms (like repairs and closing costs) when an offer comes in. Keep things fair for both you and the buyer! It's still possible to see multiple offers- especially if your home is well taken care of, well presented, and competitively priced!
Buyers need to know that you can take your time looking for the right home. You don't have to rush into a decision and you're less likely to encounter a bidding war. You may find that sellers are more open to negotiating items like list price, closing cost assistance, and/or repairs.
