💡 Watertown Winter Parking Update — A Win for Some, a Challenge for Others 🚗❄️

After 13 years of living here, I’ve seen firsthand how much debate our winter parking ban sparks every year. For neighbors near the Belmont line, the ban helps prevent out-of-towners from scooping up every spot. But for many residents — especially folks without driveways or with multiple cars — it’s been a real struggle.

When we first moved in, we even cut down part of our fence so our neighbors could fit a third car in their driveway. That’s just what Watertown does — we help each other out. 💙

From a real estate standpoint, the full ban has absolutely impacted rental options without off-street parking. So the shortened winter parking ban is welcome news for my clients who rely on street parking and for renters competing for limited spots.

🚨 Heads up: Parking fines during snow emergencies are now $100, so be sure to stay informed this winter.
