It’s that time of year again - Time for Spring Cleaning! (I know, I know, wishful thinking on the Spring part...). If you come across any old towels, blankets, comforters, etc that you would like to donate I would happily pick them up. I am affiliated with several local animal rescues that desperately need these items. Also, any new or gently used pet items, unopened pet food, or monetary donations are always appreciated. I grew up in Traymore Manor off of Jacksonville Road in Northampton. I remember a time when Joan Rivers bought a nearby plot of land and tried to develop “Little Beverly Hills” complete with a movie studio. The surrounding farmers and neighbors were up in arms!! The link to the story is below. Some very interesting local history.

Joan Rivers and her husband wanted to build a mansion and a movie studio in Bucks County. When they didn't get their way, they tried to secede from Northampton Township.

HAVE FUN where you live.......

“Galentine’s Day” at the Newtown Movie Theater - The movie was Bridesmaids with drinks and popcorn. Women only. Oh, and a contest for who wore the ugliest bridesmaid dress. An incredibly fun event. Support the Newtown Theater - the oldest continuously running theater in the USA. They have so many good events - like their page and get notified of all of their events!

Really awesome tricks to update your home for very little money. Check out tip #6 - in showing older homes, I see so many outdated flat panel doors - this looks very custom!

After owning a home for a few short months, I've come to understand just how expensive wood is. I have wanted to do a shiplap wall for a while now, but can't fork out the money for the wood.
