COULD THE WORLD’S POOREST FIND THAT BOILING FOR WATER TREATMENT WOULD BE AFFORDABLE?
In the developing world, for some 800 million people, their daily income amounts to no more than US$1 or $2. The poorest have been guaranteed safe drinking water and improved cook stoves by Sustainable Development Goals - SDGs 6 & 7. Until now, however, neither water treatment nor cook stoves have been sustainable for the poorest. That is until now.
The dire statistics are apparent. Some 3 billion people drink f***l contaminated water. Millions get sick and die because of this. About indoor air pollution due to the way the poorest cook, more than 10,000 people die each and every day due to the respiratory illnesses that are caused.
When produced by low-income potters the insulating rocket stove should be affordable to the poorest. The stove should pay for itself quickly in the savings of time and money. Treatment of safe drinking water may be affordable to the poorest, using this stove.
Please see this video of our insulating rocket stove from training in Rwanda in March 2022. There is no smoke, only steam. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1unAt9nGQHCSgtGxEDjDpzQkCxATnFDFP/view
