Chief Popwell presented Officer Chadley Moore a lifesaving award today as a result of his actions during a recent call for service.

On February 23, 2023, Officer Moore was dispatched to a cardiac arrest resulting from a possible overdose. Officer Moore arrived on scene less than one minute after being dispatched and found a patient not breathing with a faint pulse. While a bystander performed rescue breathing, Officer Moore administered a dose of Narcan that did not have an immediate effect. A second dose of Narcan was administered and the patients heart rate normalized and he began to breath on his own.

Officer Moore continued to monitor the patient for several minutes until Fire and EMS personnel arrived to take over patient care.

While we never hope to be in these situations, we are grateful of Officer Moore’s training and swift actions to save a life.

Niceville High School senior Page Dolloff leads by example in the classroom, as a two sport athlete (swimming and tennis), and in the local community. She is ranked #1 in her senior class of nearly 500 students. She earned a National AP Scholar Award and is the Niceville High School Heisman Scholarship School winner for 2021.

Page has accepted an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy after being nominated by Florida Senator Marco Rubio. At the AF Academy she will compete on the Falcons’ Swim and Dive team. After earning her commission, her goal is to lead from the sky as a fighter pilot and on the ground as an aerospace engineer.
