Elevated home prices, low inventory and slashed mortgage rates mean it's still a sellers market. The average sales price of $1.0M for detached single-family homes in Destin within the first half of 2021 is up 46% year over year from $751k in 2020. When compared to the second half of 2020, the average sales price along 30A for the first half of 2021 remains up 27%. Inventory throughout the first six months of 2021 was low despite the 67% year-over-year increase in the number of closed transactions. As we progress into the latter half of 2021, inventory remains well below average in Destin while the average sales price continues on an upward trend.
