At 46, I crossed another half marathon finish line. Not because I’m the fastest, I’m far from it. And honestly, I don’t care who gets there before me.

Running has always been my place of solitude, clarity, and truth. No shortcuts. No pins and needles. No plastic surgery. No pills. Just pure sweat, aching legs, silent tears, and the strength to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

In a world obsessed with instant gratification, filters, and fake perfection while still expecting something as real as true love, I choose authenticity. I’d rather be real than perfect.

And one thing I learned again today: it’s true what they say just when you’re about to give up, a stranger with a good heart can show up, lift your spirit, and help carry you to the finish line. A reminder that kindness still exists, and sometimes the people we don’t know become part of the story we’ll never forget.

Every mile reminds me that growth takes time, healing takes effort, and the strongest glow-up comes from doing the hard things, honestly.

Another half marathon done at 46. Still standing. Still running. Still me. 🏃‍♀️💜
