Millennial Buyers are often facing regrets after the purchase of their home according to a survey by Bankrate. Be sure you work with a Realtor, like me, that can explain to you some of the pitfalls and get you past them.
1. The monthly mortgage cost will include in addition to the loan payment, property insurance and taxes. Those fees should be disclosed to you by your lender. This is your base cost of home ownership
2. Closing costs, to get the loan, appraisal, lender fees can run 2% to 5%. So if you are purchasing a $360,000 home your closing fees could range $7,200 or more.
3. Rates are very good right now. Your interest payments are still a write off based on a max price of $750,000 (loan).
4. THERE ARE NO STUPID QUESTIONS. If you are considering buying a home ask questions. Go with a FULL SERVICE REALTOR and you will be very glad you did.
