This tip could save you thousands of dollars 💰

Did you know that you can actually pay down your mortgage before the 15-, 20- or 30-year term of your loan?

Here are three ways to do it:...

1) Split your monthly payment into two installments. When you make bi-weekly payments instead of monthly payments, you will actually make one extra payment each year.

2) Put at least 20% down on your purchase to avoid paying PMI, or mortgage insurance. Instead of paying several hundreds of dollars a month in mortgage insurance, you can put more toward paying down your principal.

3) Pay more whenever you're able. If you received a tax refund, put that toward your mortgage’s principal balance and be debt-free a lot sooner.
