I was sad that I could no longer close this little screen door once my new (large) washer and dryer were installed. So I got creative! I took down the fabric that covered it and used the mesh to hang some fun pictures and—thanks to and her brilliant idea—used my antique bottles to make a propagation wall for my houseplants! There’s still plenty of room to hang fun things I find on my travels, and the whimsy makes me very happy. 🥰

A very satisfying DIY fireplace makeover for a chilly Saturday. This was a very easy, if messy, transformation. I bought a kit from Amazon to do this job. It had all the required components; painter’s tape, drop cloth, small can of paint and cup with measurements to help with correct paint dilution. Would I buy that again? No, definitely not necessary. Also, their suggested dilution made a huge mess. When I did it in the past, I diluted it to my own liking and didn’t end up with drips to clean up everywhere. Live and learn! The end result, however, is equally satisfying. I love a natural brick wall, for sure—but sometimes painted brick is just beautiful—like in my bright, light living room. 💝

I haven’t shared much about my condo renovation, but my turn of the century walk-up is getting some love. This bathroom was very plain before—penny tile, scratched up tub, white walls. Once the renovation started, she showed us who she really was; brick exposed brick, sophisticated fixtures, downright gorgeous. Can’t wait to see the finished product, and I will definitely share the before and after!
