🚨 HOMEBUYERS, in case you haven’t heard it’s a SELLER’S market! Everyone wants a home, causing an influx of buyers! Supply vs. Demand! I know this can be intimidating, so here are a few tips so you can navigate it effectively👇🏾
1️⃣ Start strong and make your BEST offer FIRST. It’s a competitive market, so consider the listing price the STARTING price. Be prepared to bid. I know your cousin or best friend that bought a home a year ago got their house for $10k under asking price and all closing costs paid, etc. Well, that’s not what’s happening in the current market. 🙁
2️⃣ Make an offer with no conditions (i.e. asking for closing costs, home warranties, carpet allowance, etc). Again, it’s all about reducing your competition, and in a seller's market, there’s a lot of competition. An offer without any conditions is going to be a lot more attractive to a seller than an offer with conditions. The simpler the offer, the better.
3️⃣ Re-evaluate your wish list. 💭A seller's market is hard to navigate and so if your offers keep getting declined, maybe it’s time to move around your priorities. Think SLAP — size, location, amenities, price.
