I’m a husband, dog dad, active duty Navy Chief, Brazilian jiu jitsu athlete, and REALTOR® serving Hampton Roads and northeast North Carolina.

Outside of real estate, you’ll usually find me on the mats, around the farm, supporting local dog rescues, or helping sponsor athletes and small businesses in our community.

Real estate works a lot like dog ownership: sometimes you want the brand-new build, sometimes you fall for the one that already has a little history, and either way, the right fit feels like home.

Most of our dogs came to us as adults, but these two joined the pack when they were tiny chaos potatoes . Do we miss the sleepless nights and the chewed-up couches? Absolutely not 🤣 But man, were they cute.

The buyers winning in Hampton Roads are not always the ones who see the house first.

Everyone wants the contractor unicorn 🦄 🔨

Good. Fast. Cheap.

But in real life, you usually only get two.

Fast + cheap? Quality may suffer.
Fast + good? You’re probably paying for it.
Good + reasonably priced? You’re probably waiting a few weeks.

That does not mean big companies are bad.
And it does not mean every local contractor is automatically better.

The right recommendation depends on the job, the budget, the timeline, and how much the details matter.

But I can tell you this: the “special contractor” who is somehow faster, cheaper, and better than everyone else usually comes with a follow-up call that starts with, “So… we have a problem.”

Before you hire someone just because they can start tomorrow, ask a few better questions.

The closing table is not the finish line.

Today looked like showing up with pizza for some clients that recently closed on a new home because moving is the worst and nobody should do it hungry.

Buying a home is one of the biggest transitions people go through. Yes, I’m there for the contracts, inspections, repairs, negotiations, VA loan questions, and closing details.

But I’m also there after the keys are handed over.

Need a contractor recommendation? Call me.
Have a random house question six months later? Call me.
Need someone to feed the moving crew? Apparently, also call me.

Real estate is not just about getting people into houses.

It’s about taking care of people through the whole move, and long after the paperwork is signed.
