Hampton Roads isn't on the list as a top seller market OR a top buyer market, and that's because our market generally is more stable than much of the country. We are still in a seller's market, meaning housing demand still outpaces supply, prices are still rising, and homes are selling relatively quickly. BUT, the market here is becoming more balanced, with inventory increasing slightly, price increases slowing, and houses remaining on market longer than they were in the overheated period from 2021-2023. Just sold this 4-bedroom, 3-bath home in the Kimpton Park neighborhood of Suffolk, VA. The sellers got a ratified contract within 5 days of listing, and sellers and buyers agreed on terms satisfactory to both.
