Main responsibilities: General maintenance and upkeep of apartments
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
-Working daily with the site manager to respond to maintenance calls from tenants in a timely manner
-Keeping the premises and common areas clean of debris and maintaining exteriors of buildings….landscaping, downspouts, screens, etc.
-Apartment turn work and “readying” vacant units for new move-ins, including some paintwork
-Candidates should have knowledge or be able to make repairs common to the units, including:
-General plumbing issues – Toilet and Sink Leaks, Toilet and Faucet Repairs
-Light construction work – Repairs to apartment entrance doors and interior doors and closet doors
-General appliance repairs and mechanicals
-Electrical (Lighting and outlets)
-Flooring Repairs, installation experience a plus
Hours: M-F 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
-Some Saturdays during the Summer months for the high volume of turn work in preparing apartments for move-ins
-Must be able to respond to emergency calls during “non-business” hours – i.e. tenant lockouts, water leaks, heat, and A/C calls
– Must have own transportation and valid Illinois driver’s license. Successful candidates should be able to work independently.
-Salary based on experience.
