5 REASONS TO VOTE TONIGHT
Provides many different housing types, rental and for sale, market rate and affordable, and 55+ age-restricted homes, creating desperately needed housing for everybody including young professionals, and older residents looking to down size from single family homes;
Accelerates school building construction projects by a decade, such as the Franklin School, as well as many other important town projects;
Addresses climate change by preserving more than 40-acres of open space in town, rehabilitating wetland habitats, adding public transit connections, and replacing buildings constructed in the 1970s with state-of-the-art sustainable buildings;
Changes Royal Crest from an apartment complex that costs North Andover money (net negative of $0.5M to $1.5M) to a mixed-use neighborhood that will generate net new revenue ranging from $2 million - $4 million annually; and
Achieves the Town's threshold requirements for affordable housing in line with State Chapter 40B, exempting the town from "unfriendly" 40B developments in the future. It also helps the town meet its Master Plan and Housing Production Plan goals, such as placing mixed-use development along the Rt. 114 commercial corridor.
