Here are five key points from the Aiken MLS December 2024 report:

Increased Home Sales: December saw 256 homes sold in the Aiken region, contributing to a 9.5% year-to-date increase with 3,321 homes sold in 2024 compared to 3,024 in 2023.

Rising Median Prices: The median home price reached $289,900 in 2024, marking a 0.8% increase from $276,533 in 2023.

Declining Inventory: Active listings decreased by 19.5%, with 928 homes available at the end of 2024, representing about three months of inventory.

Pending Sales Growth: Pending sales rose 12.5% overall, with the $350,001 to $500,000 price range experiencing a 26.8% increase.

National Trends: U.S. existing-home sales improved for the second consecutive month, rising 4.8% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.15 million units, marking the largest year-over-year increase since June 2021.
