A change is coming to appraisal reporting.

Starting November 2, 2026, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will require an updated appraisal report format for submissions through their appraisal portal.

The goal is to create a more consistent and flexible report that provides clearer information about the home itself, including condition, updates, energy features, and disaster-mitigation improvements.
