FALL FEST FUN AT THE WATERFORD!

What a beautiful evening for our Fall Fest at The Waterford! The weather was perfect for an outdoor celebration filled with great music, delicious c***r and donuts, and even better company!

A huge thank you to Teddy Robb for bringing the music and making our evening extra special! Our residents had such a wonderful time relaxing outdoors, singing along, visiting with friends, and simply enjoying everything we love about fall.

And the fun didn’t stop there — even our Life Enrichment Director Jackie Wolfe grabbed the mic and joined Teddy for a duet! Now that’s what we call getting into the spirit of Fall Fest

PUZZLE COMPLETE… and she is PROUD!

This masterpiece didn’t happen overnight! One of our Waterford residents has been working on this puzzle for quite some time—searching, sorting, peace by peace. We think this one deserves a round of applause… and maybe a frame!

✌️🕺 Friends at The Waterford went back to the ’70s again this week—and what a groovy time we had!

This time, we took a trip down memory lane talking about classic television shows and some of those “far-out foods” of the ’70s!

And who remembers “Disco Duck”?Our gentlemen sure did—and they took it one step further by balancing their ducks on their heads for a few extra laughs! 😂

The ladies showed off their best “Nanu-Nanu” hand signal. 🖖 Anyone remember where that came from? Of course—Mork & Mindy

So tell us… what do YOU remember most about the ’70s? Bell bottoms? Disco? TV shows? Music? Fondue? We want to hear it! 🪩✌️

COMMUNITY BINGO FUN!

What a great afternoon at The Waterford! Our Community Bingo, sponsored by Clayton and Cody with Great Lakes Senior Management, was filled with plenty of laughs, friendly competition, delicious pizza, and some fantastic prizes!

A big THANK YOU to Clayton and Cody for helping make the afternoon so much fun. We love bringing our residents, friends, and community together for good food, great company, and lots of BINGO!

Well… today took an unexpected turn!

Somehow we found ourselves participating in The Great Baby Squirrel Rescue of 2026!

Our tiny little visitor was safely caught and released, but apparently we don’t just release wildlife around here—we provide full-service accommodations.

Before heading back into the great outdoors, our little guest was treated to fresh water and strawberries. Because obviously, after the trauma of being temporarily detained, he deserved refreshments.

He arrived as an intruder and left like he had just checked out of a five-star squirrel resort. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

No reservation.
No payment.
A complimentary strawberry buffet.
And we’re pretty sure he’ll be leaving us a glowing review. 🐿️

Another Month, Another Reason to Celebrate at The Waterford!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our monthly birthdays with great entertainment, lots of laughter, and—of course—ICE CREAM! 🍨 And we didn’t hold back on the toppings… because birthdays are no time to count sprinkles!

Our residents had a fantastic time, but we’re pretty sure our Director of Life Enrichment may have had the MOST fun. Once the music started, so did the dancing!

Around here, we don’t just plan the party… sometimes the staff becomes the entertainment!

WE WILL NEVER FORGET — September 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today at The Waterford, we came together for a heartfelt and touching tribute to September 11th—a day forever etched into the heart of our nation.

We remembered the lives that were lost, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the extraordinary courage of the first responders and everyday Americans who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

But we also remembered what happened in the days that followed.

America came together.

Neighbors helped neighbors. Strangers became friends. Flags flew proudly from homes and businesses. Churches filled with prayer. We leaned on one another, held our loved ones a little closer, and discovered just how powerful faith, hope, courage, and unity could be.

For many of our residents, September 11th isn’t simply something they learned about in history—it is something they lived through and remember. Sharing those memories today reminded us that while we can never erase the sorrow of that day, we can honor those we lost by carrying forward the strength and compassion that followed.

May we always remember the lives lost.
May we always honor the heroes.
May we never forget how America came together.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Music, Laughter & Togetherness at The Waterford! 🎶

We had the pleasure of welcoming Philip Spencer, son-in-law of one of our wonderful residents, for a special afternoon at The Waterford!

Philip filled the room with beautiful piano music, and before long, everyone was singing along, laughing, and simply enjoying being together.

There’s something special about music—it brings back memories, lifts our spirits, and brings people together. We are so grateful to Philip for sharing his time and talent with us and making our afternoon one to remember!
