Apologies in advance for my language and my attitude, but I am BEYOND frustrated and disappointed in people and the complete lack of work ethic I continue to see.
Seriously… what the hell is wrong with people?
Why go through the process of applying for a job, scheduling an interview, showing up for the interview, discussing the position, ACCEPTING the position, going through the onboarding process, and then spending HOURS communicating with me about the job?
Why repeatedly assure me that you’re reliable, that you show up, that you don’t call out, that you WANT to work…
Only to NOT SHOW UP the very next morning?
No phone call.
No text.
Won’t answer my calls.
Won’t respond to my messages.
Just… nothing.
Why waste someone’s time like that?
I genuinely do not understand what has happened to basic work ethic, responsibility, communication and respect for someone else’s time.
And since we’re talking candidly, let me address PAY too.
Yes, training pay is less than what you can make once you prove yourself. I don’t think that’s unreasonable.
Show me that you’re reliable.
Show me that you’re consistent.
Show me that you’re competent.
Show me that you can arrive ON TIME.
Show me that you pay attention to detail.
Show me that I don’t have to tell you what to do from one movement to the next.
Show me that you actually give a damn about the quality of your work.
PROVE YOUR VALUE — and I will gladly PAY YOU for your value.
What I’m not going to do is pay someone top dollar on Day 1 based solely on them telling me how wonderful and reliable they are, only to find out that they don’t show up, aren’t responsible, can’t be on time, or don’t know what they’re doing.
Reliability has value.
Experience has value.
Initiative has value.
Attention to detail has value.
A strong work ethic has value.
And I am willing to PAY for those things.
So, with all of that said…

I’m looking for the RIGHT PERSON.
Someone who actually wants to work. Someone reliable. Someone with their own transportation. Someone who takes pride in what they do. Someone with attention to detail who can look around and see what needs to be done without needing their hand held through every single task.
