Most SoCal homeowners are probably aware that we are past due for the "big one," and as scary as that sounds to some people, others choose to invest in the cosmetic aspects of their homes rather than in safety. The property owner in the video clip below wanted to understand why he had squeaky floors. Little did he know... well, the video probably speaks for itself. You can see in the clip that a post, which should be supporting the live and dead loads of the home, is being moved effortlessly by hand due to heavy dry-rot. According to the US Geological Survey, this morning a 2.5 magnitude earthquake and a 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck LA County in the city of Lennox, near Hawthorne and Inglewood.
