Join us Thursday, July 23, at Union Square Park for a fun evening of free food, live music, and community!

Starting at 5:00 PM, we will be serving a free meal that includes:

Hot dog
Fresh fruit
Bag of chips
Bottled water or a HUGS drink

A huge thank-you to Wegmans, Fidelis Care, Fresh Start Church, and Save A Lot for providing the food and helping prepare and cook the meals for our community!

Our craft vendors will be set up beginning at 5:00 PM, and North of 40 will take the stage at 6:00 PM! 🎸

Please note that drink & snack vendors will also be on-site, but their beverages & food items are sold separately and are not included with the free meal.

Now THIS is a parade! We’re on Main Street in Hornell, and the photographer described the event as a music festival. Checking the 1938 city directory tells us that we’re very close to that year. To note just a few of the businesses, Doherty’s is a shoe store, Barbara Taylor proprietor. A. McHenry & Co. is a jewelers’, “established in 1853.” Woolworth’s was renowned, of course, as a “five and dime” chain. The colonnaded building on the left was the Bank of Steuben, and is now part of city hall.
