The Fed decides TODAY — and mortgage rates just hit a near 2-year high.

The 30-year fixed jumped to 7.17% on Monday (Mortgage News Daily), the highest since January 2025, as the 10-year Treasury crossed 5%. The Fed announces its decision at 2 p.m. ET today, with markets pricing in a rate hike.

Meanwhile, August existing-home sales fell 2% the slowest pace in over a year (NAR). But South Florida keeps bucking the trend: Miami metro listings are down ~15% year-over-year even as national inventory climbs, and the median sits near $490K.
