Here’s a little walk-through video to give everyone a look inside Sarah’s House! More pictures will be coming soon, but I couldn’t wait to share a glimpse of how beautifully everything came together.

Yesterday’s ribbon cutting was such a wonderful celebration and a very special day for everyone who has been a part of this project. So much love, time, talent, and generosity have gone into this house from so many people in our community.

Now comes the most exciting part—taking the next steps toward welcoming the young ladies who will call Sarah’s House home. I hope that each one who walks through these doors will immediately feel the love and care that went into creating a beautiful, comfortable, and uplifting place just for them.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, stopped by, checked in, offered a helping hand, or supported this project in any way. It truly took so many people coming together to make this happen, and I’m incredibly grateful to have been a part of it.

This one is definitely one for the record books, and most importantly, something that will continue giving back to our community for years to come.

A huge thank you to my awesome friend Barb Schade, owner simply flipped by barbara
for donating her time and talent to refinish this table for Sarah’s House. She took the dark stained wood table and gave it a lighter finish, completely updating the look and making it feel so much more fresh and modern. Barb, I appreciate the time, care, and hard work you put into this table—it turned out beautifully!

❤️ The love and support surrounding Sarah’s House never ceases to amaze me!!
So many of my friends have stopped by to see it come together, and we are officially almost a wrap!
Today my friend, Jean came by to visit and donated!
Our big ribbon-cutting with the Little River Chamber of Commerce is Wednesday, and it’s hard to believe we’re already here!
What started as a vision a year ago has become such a bright, welcoming home for these girls—a place filled with warmth, hope, and the promise of a brighter future. I’m so proud of what so many wonderful people have helped create. ❤️
Sea Haven for Youth

If you’ve been following my posts, you’ve seen me mention Sea Haven for Youth and “Sarah’s House” quite a bit over this summer. I wanted to take a minute to share information about Sarah’s House, the future home for six teenage girls working toward a brighter, more stable future, dedicated in Sarah Brown’s honor.

Sarah Brown has been a dedicated part of Sea Haven since 2011 and has worn many hats over the years, from office and finance manager to Director/Administrator. Through so many years of growth and change, she has given countless hours of hard work, commitment, and heart to Sea Haven and the young people it serves.

What a wonderful and well-deserved honor to have this home named Sarah’s House — a lasting tribute to the many years she has devoted to this nonprofit and its mission. ❤️

And to all of my friends who have touched base, stopped by, helped out, and donated to this project along the way, THANK YOU!! 🫶🏻

I cannot give a big enough 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗧-𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗙𝗘𝗟𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨 to Josh Henry, 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿 of Beachside Refinishing, for taking the time to make and donate seven custom window cornice boxes for Sarah’s House at Sea Haven for Youth. 🎉

Josh generously put his craftsmanship and personal time into building each one!

Because the girls’ bedrooms are snug, curtains weren’t an option, so I chose cornice boxes to give the windows that 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹, 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵.

These beautiful cornice boxes will be enjoyed for years to come by the many young ladies who will call Sarah’s House home as they begin a fresh and hopeful new chapter in their lives!

I popped by a job site yesterday to check on progress and to make a few more flooring selections, and I’m so pleased with how everything is coming together. This older rancher is getting a beautiful modern refresh with plenty of character still intact.
