What’s Stirring Up the Grand Strand?

🚨 Grand Strand Update: A LOT is changing fast — what do YOU think about it?

From North Myrtle Beach to Myrtle Beach, there’s been a wave of new developments, comebacks, and big announcements that everyone’s talking about.

Here are the 4 things stirring up the most buzz this week:

🔥 1. Major New Development in NMB
A huge Class‑A office + medical complex just broke ground near Hwy 31 & Robert Edge. Some say it’s great for jobs… others worry about traffic.

How do you feel about the growth?

💧 2. Drought Conditions Across the State
Officials are asking residents to voluntarily reduce water usage.

Do you think this will impact boating, lawns, or summer tourism?

🍦 3. Original Painter’s Homemade Ice Cream Is BACK
A beloved NMB classic has reopened with the original family recipes.

Who’s already been? What flavor should I try first?

✈️ 4. New Nonstop Flights Into MYR
More routes = more visitors… and possibly more future residents.

Do you think this will help or hurt the area?

👇 Tell me your thoughts — which of these changes are you most excited (or nervous) about?

I love hearing what locals think. The Grand Strand is growing, and our voices matter.

🎣 🇺🇸 HAPPY NATIONAL FISHING DAY FROM THE GRAND STRAND! 🇺🇸 🎣

Whether you're chasing speckled trout in the marsh, flounder along the ICW, redfish in the creeks, or just making memories with the kids on a local pier, today is a great reminder of why so many of us love calling the Carolina coast home.

Fishing isn't always about what ends up in the cooler. Sometimes it's about the sunrise, the stories, the peace and quiet, and the one that got away. 🌅🐟

⚠️ For our North Myrtle Beach anglers, Mother Nature isn't exactly cooperating today. We're seeing unsettled weather, gusty winds, rougher water conditions, and scattered showers moving through the area. If you're heading out by boat, keep a close eye on the radar and be prepared for changing conditions.

🌊 Today's Local Reminder:
• Check marine forecasts before launching
• Watch for lightning and pop-up storms
• Wear your life jacket
• File a float plan with family or friends
• When in doubt, wait it out

The fish will still be there tomorrow.

What's your favorite local fishing spot?
🐟 Cherry Grove Pier?
🐟 Little River Inlet?
🐟 The Intracoastal Waterway?
🐟 Offshore?
🐟 Your secret honey hole that you'll never tell us about? 😂

Drop your favorite catch photo below and let's celebrate National Fishing Day together!

Tight lines, safe boating, and thank you to all who make the Grand Strand such a special place to live, work, and play.
