Before listing, walk toward your home as if you were seeing it for the first time:

La oficina del Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (NWS) en Boston/Norton informa que se esperan vientos fuertes, oleaje peligroso y un período prolongado de lluvia constante durante el fin de semana. Los principales riesgos incluyen ramas caídas, cortes de electricidad, erosión de playas e inundaciones costeras. En la región podrían registrarse ráfagas de entre 45 y 60 mph.

Para Providence, el pronóstico del NWS actualizado el 25 de septiembre a las 6:43 a. m. EDT indica:

• Aviso de vientos fuertes hasta las 2:00 a. m. del domingo
• Aviso de inundación costera desde las 5:00 p. m. del viernes hasta las 8:00 p. m. del domingo
• Ráfagas de hasta 49 mph esta noche y el sábado

Rhode Island—this is a prepare-now storm, not a panic post.

The National Weather Service Boston/Norton office says strong winds, rough seas and a prolonged period of steady rain are expected through the weekend. Main concerns include downed limbs, power outages, beach erosion and coastal flooding. Peak land gusts of 45–60 mph are possible across the region.

For Providence, the NWS forecast updated September 25 at 6:43 a.m. EDT lists:

• High Wind Warning through 2:00 a.m. Sunday
• Coastal Flood Advisory from 5:00 p.m. Friday through 8:00 p.m. Sunday
• Wind gusts up to 49 mph tonight and Saturday

Prepare before conditions worsen:

• Bring in or secure patio furniture, grills, trash cans and loose outdoor items.
• Charge phones, power banks, flashlights and essential medical devices.
• Stay clear of trees and use an interior room during the strongest winds.
• Never walk, swim or drive through floodwater or around barricades.
