Big NEWS! My son Tom is running the Boston Marathon.

He is running for a non profit called LEARN TO COPE. LTC is a group of people that have been dealing with this addiction crisis. Too many people, family and friends have had to deal with this and Tom wants to do his part.
Tom has been training for this for a long time. This is his first year to have an official bib and number.
I can't tell you how proud his mother Kathy, sister Caitlin and our family and I are.

New house or old house…. it doesn’t matter: A home inspection may save your life! Please read about a recent experience Josh had while inspecting a newly renovated condominium for a young family:
I recently met my clients to do a home inspection at a newly renovated condominium. This young couple was so excited to have the opportunity to purchase such a nice home. I was impressed with the exterior renovations and, for the most part, the interior as well. This young couple expressed how excited they were that their child would now have her own bedroom. At first glance, the room appeared to be a great room for a child but then I opened the closet door. In that closet was a gas fired conventional warm air furnace. There was no make-up air for the furnace to run properly. I explained to the couple how dangerous this is and can easily lead to a buildup of deadly carbon monoxide gas in the child’s room. It would need to be corrected before they could let anyone sleep in this room, let alone a child.
This couple explained to me how close they had come to not having an inspection done because it was newly renovated. Imagine the tragedy this young family may have suffered had they not done the inspection. NEW DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN RIGHT OR SAFE!
Remember…….the cost of not doing a home inspection is not always about the repairs, but the tragedies it can prevent. A home inspection is the best education you will get when buying a home. Knowledge is power, don’t let anyone deny you that. Protect your family and your investment with every resource available.
