Rail bike season starts soon! Revolution Rail rides are a relaxed (mostly 😉) way to take in the beauty around Warren County and is only 10 minutes from our property
Starting back May 2nd in North Creek, New York you can ride a rail bike through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Adirondacks with Revolution Rail Co.! You’ll pedal custom rail bikes right along old train tracks beside the Hudson River, with views of forests, bridges, and wide open water. Along the way, you’ll also pass quiet stretches of river, ride through thick woods, and cross scenic rail bridges with wide views up and down the Hudson. Keep an eye out for wildlife like deer and birds, and in some cases even a bear moving through the trees. The bikes sit right on the rails, so there’s no steering, just easy pedaling. Most rides are out-and-back, like the South River Run, which is about 8 miles round trip and takes around 2 hours, with a short break halfway to relax by the river. Guides ride with the group, share local history, and help along the way. You’ll start at the North Creek station, then take a short bus ride to the launch point. The bikes have seats, lap belts, and space for a small bag. Book ahead, arrive early, and plan about 2.5 hours total for the full experience! Revolution Rail Co. also runs rides at other New York spots, including Hadley, Thurman, Riparius, and Cattaraugus, each with its own stretch of track and scenery to explore.
