Today is Labor Day. What does that even mean? I decided to find out. 😊

Labor Day was created to recognize and celebrate the contributions of American workers and the role they have played in building our country, our economy, and our way of life. The first Labor Day celebration was held in New York City in 1882, and in 1894, it became a national holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September.

So yes, “labor” means work, and today many of us celebrate it by NOT working. 😂

Soooo blessed to have a wonderful Client Appreciation Event after all! ❤️

To thank our clients for their business and referrals, we served the most delicious ice cream ever from Blacksmith Ice Cream Co. at Hogan Park. 🍦🍦

And then there was the WEATHER! 😂

After a year of drought, we’ve had much-needed rain for the past two days. The rain was soooo heavy last night that it woke me up several times. I finally said to the rain, “You just keep coming down and let it all out. But when it’s time for my party, you need to STOP!” 😂

And would you look at that weather forecast?! Sunshine beginning at 1:00 p.m. Exactly when our party started! ☀️

My sweet husband was unable to attend this time, but after I left the house to set up the pavilion, he sent me this text:

“You’re so blessed 😇 like sun 🌞 the minute after you drive out of the garage. Literally and figuratively. Hope it is a huge success. Enjoy your party! 😇😇😇”

Yes, I am blessed indeed. ❤️
