Of the first 20 houses in North Sioux City's Union Crossing development, 50 or 60 percent are already under contract even as construction crews are still working on them, developer Rick Wegher told The Journal Thursday. Traffic jam? We’ll take it.

A few months ago this was just a farm field. Today? You might have to wait for a truck, an excavator, an HVAC crew, a framing crew, or a concrete delivery before you can get through. That’s the kind of “traffic problem” we like to see.

A few months ago this was just a farm field. Today? You might have to wait for a truck, an excavator, an HVAC crew, a framing crew, or a concrete delivery before you can get through. That’s the kind of “traffic problem” we like to see.

This week alone:
🏡 New basements are being excavated.
🔨 Homes are being framed.
❄️ HVAC crews are hard at work.
🚜 Heavy equipment is moving everywhere you look.
🚚 Trades are coming and going all day long.

Even better, one of our builders shared that 5 of the 6 homes currently under construction are already spoken for. That’s incredible momentum and a great sign for the future of Union Crossing.

And that empty field in one of these photos? Don’t get too attached to it. It won’t stay vacant for long.

Every foundation poured, every wall raised, and every new family choosing Union Crossing is another step toward building the vibrant neighborhood we envisioned from the very beginning. Onward and upward.
