Not only are they building modern apartments, but also townhomes for rent — helping bring much-needed workforce and attainable housing options to Southeast South Dakota.

You can really start to see the vision coming together now. A few months ago this was farm ground…today there’s real vertical construction happening all across the development.

We’re excited to continue highlighting the builders, commercial partners, and businesses helping shape Union Crossing into a vibrant community for North Sioux City and the surrounding region.

Fun things happening at Union Crossing.

The bike trail along Sioux Point Road just got paved and is another step toward making this more than just a subdivision. Residents will be able to connect into the regional trail system, ride north toward Adams Nature Preserve, or head south toward Iowa and the Sioux City trail network. 🚴

At the same time:
• Civil Engineers & Constructors, LLC crews are onsite completing as-built surveys and setting lot corners
• Residential builders are actively working on foundations
• More vertical home construction is getting ready to take off
• Utilities, streets, trails, and infrastructure continue moving forward daily

This project is about building a real community for Southeast South Dakota — housing, connectivity, commercial growth, recreation, and long-term opportunity all in one development.

Union Crossing will include single-family homes, duplexes, apartments, commercial development, trails, green space, and workforce housing designed to support the continued growth of North Sioux City and the surrounding area.

Did you know… 🚲

A bike trail is going in right next to Union Crossing that will connect you all the way to Iowa—across the new Two Rivers bridge—and tie directly into the Sioux City trail system. You can also head north and ride straight to Adams Nature Preserve.

Not something you see every day in a development.

Basements are officially being dug for the first six units at Union Crossing today, and in true superhero fashion, two of our builders are working from opposite ends of Phase 1A…

Same name. Different spelling. Same mission.

One spells it Branden.
The other spells it Brandon.

These guys might not wear capes, but they’re out here doing the real work—bringing affordable, attainable housing to Southeast South Dakota.

A lot happening out at Union Crossing right now…

✔️ Fiber optic communications going in (that orange conduit you see) — nearly complete and setting up state-of-the-art connectivity
✔️ Street lights being installed by Nystrom Electric Co.
✔️ Grass is coming in (we’ll take a little more rain when we can get it)
✔️ And the new Union Crossing sign is up and looking sharp

This is the part most people don’t see—but it’s what sets everything up to go vertical.

And that’s coming soon… you’ll start seeing homes going up very shortly.
