Beginning again on May 22nd in Upstate New York…you can head to the Midway Drive-In Theatre to catch a movie (or two!) under the night sky at one of the oldest drive-in movie theatres still operating in the state! Located on NYS Route 48 in Fulton, between Fulton and Oswego, this classic outdoor theater has been part of the area since 1948, and its name comes from that “midway” location between the two communities. Each night is set up as a double feature, with the first movie generally starting around 8:30 p.m. and the second following right after, usually around 10:30 p.m. The opening-night movie lineup has not been released yet, but it should be announced in the coming days.

Once you pull in, the whole place still has that old-school drive-in feel, from the rows of cars facing the big screen to the snack bar lighting up as evening settles in. You can grab hot popcorn, burgers, hot dogs, fries, candy, and cold drinks before the show, then settle back and watch the screen come alive under the stars. Midway also lists children 6 and under as free, which helps keep it a family-friendly night out. With friendly service, a relaxed setting, and more than 75 years of history behind it, this is the kind of summer tradition that still feels just as fun as it did generations ago.
