We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team at North Vernon Abstract.

In this role, you will be responsible for accurately typing title insurance commitments and performing various secretarial tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our office.
This is an in-office position Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and accurately type documents, ensuring adherence to company standards and guidelines.
- Conduct thorough proofreading and quality checks to eliminate errors and maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of documents, including policies, endorsements, and other related paperwork.
- Handle secretarial duties, including answering phone calls, taking messages, and directing calls to the appropriate individuals as well as other tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a well-organized filing system, both physical and digital, to ensure easy retrieval of documents when needed.
- Assist in general office tasks, such as photocopying, scanning, and mailing documents as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive information with utmost discretion.
Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Excellent typing skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy in typed documents.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively handle phone calls and communicate with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Prior experience in a secretarial or administrative role is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
