I had the privilege of helping this incredible family (and Tina the chihuahua mix and her brother Louie, who is too grumpy to be photographed 🙂) achieve their dream of buying a home, which we closed on yesterday. We began this process back in January, but their path to homeownership really started when they arrived here from Iraq in 2014 with their parents and five siblings. They wasted no time establishing themselves here in Western Massachusetts - earning college degrees while working, improving their English, and eventually becoming U.S. citizens. In real estate, we talk a lot about “the dream of homeownership,” but every so often you get to witness what that represents: stability, safety, and the chance to achieve all the things most people want from life. I’m grateful to have played a small role in this.
