$5 Friday! JKRC Rescue - Just Keep Rescuing Canines and Cats
💔🐾 THIS WEEK HAS BEEN A ROLLER COASTER… 🐾💔 Heartache. Worry. Hope. Fear. And somehow, through it all, we keep going.

🌈 We are still mourning our sweet Skittles.
We only had her for such a short time, but she was LOVED. She mattered. She had a foster who cared deeply for her, and she left this world knowing she belonged to someone.
We will continue to honor Skittles the only way we know how — by helping the next dog who desperately needs someone to say YES.

❤️‍🩹 MAXX
Today, Maxx is heading to Red Bank Animal Hospital to be evaluated by a surgeon. We are hoping to finally get answers about his injury and determine what needs to be done to get him comfortable, pain-free and back on his feet.

🎀 BELLE
Sweet Belle had her wellness exam this week, and unfortunately, we learned that her very large tumor is not operable. She has been started on steroids in hopes of reducing the size and keeping her comfortable.
👁️ SASHA
We also learned that Sasha has glaucoma behind her eye. At this point, it looks like we will most likely be proceeding with surgery to remove the affected eye so she can finally be comfortable and free from the pain it is causing her.
🐾 FELTON
And now our sweet Felton isn’t feeling well. He has developed cold-like symptoms and is lethargic, so he is heading to the vet to be examined. After everything this skinny little boy has already endured, we want to make sure we stay ahead of anything that could make him sicker.
It feels like every time we catch our breath, another one of our babies needs us.
But we keep going.
Today, we are asking our village for just $5.
