My favorite kind of morning. Quiet-ish hangs on the stoop playing with Zio’s “duys”(guys), Gert dipping her toes in the dew to make footprints on the stones, coffee/coffee-milk, cicadas and birds drowning out the cars driving by, Coco pretending to hunt rollypollies, a cool 68 where the sun hasn’t found us just yet.

Soooo many fun guys. Anyone else’s yards full of them? Or is it just my “lawn”?

Hey! This is me, .re, standing in front of a shelf in a staged house. Why is that? Because I’m a realtor, and sometimes our properties need to cosplay as perfectly lived in spaces because it’s hard to walk into a white box and get that homey feeling. Thanksgiving week was a lot. The second thanksgiving got put away Christmas came out. Gert wore a Santa hat and scarf for about 2days straight. All weekend she “helped” with the chickens. They tolerate her. She is thrilled. We saw wicked and discovered the best view of the Christmas tree is from the movie theatre. Before all that Zio and I got to see the Harlem wizards courtside and Celia and I had a 24 hour staycation in the city. I’ve been spending too much time doing crunchy crafts and making bone broth.
