I have been licensed in California for 41 years, a Salesperson since 1976, and a Broker since 1982. and have since managed Fred Sands, Coldwell Banker, and ReMax OTB. I am currently part of a top producing Real Estate team with my husband, Joel Linka (Buyer Specialist), for Pinnacle Estate Properties in Porter Ranch and serve as Director of Compliance. I have taught Ethics for th

e Simi Moorpark Association of Realtors and have been a Master Instructor for Southland Regional Association of Realtors for 25 years. I am currently a Director at SRAR and am under contract with the California Association of Realtors as an Instructor, as well as being a Director. For the past 1/ years, I have been a CAR Director, serving on the Standard Forms Advisory Committee for 3 years, which creates Contracts for Real Estate Practitioners in California. I have served 12 years on the Common Interest Development Committee and was Chair of that Committee in 2010, providing information, training and legislation for the 46,000 HOAS in California. I was also Vice Chair of Education at C.A.R.and was just chosen to be Chair of Education Advisory for 2013. In my spare time, I have written articles for several magazines and newspapers, served on panels of experts and work independently as a Real Estate Consultant. I currently teach for C.A.R. on many topics, including writing the class “All about Condos”. I also spend much of my time fund raising raising money for Relay for Life/American Cancer Society.

🍁November Newsletter -The Linka Team🍁

It's very hard to believe we are in November, the beginning of the Holiday Season and the end of the year, 2021. So many of us have had our lives turned upside down by the COVID-19 Pandemic. It has changed how we work, shop, celebrate, etc... Even if we are so lucky not to be directly affected, we have changed many habits in our everyday lives.

It was wonderful having trick or treaters this year (we counted 72!) I never thought I would appreciate the children in their costumes ringing the doorbell. In our neighborhood park we watched children parade, paint pumpkins and homemade cookies.

As Realtors we are glad to have Open Houses, work more easily with buyers, knock on doors to say hi and share what's going on in the Real Estate Market. We are working on our 2022 Calendars, already on their way to us from the printers. You can look forward to getting yours after Thanksgiving and before the new year.

So...what is going on in this crazy Real Estate Market? After 45 years in working with buyers and sellers, do I think the market is crashing? No I do not! Joel and I believe it is slowing down and readjusting after the wildest sellers market I have ever seen! If you are fortunate to have a home you own you have been blessed with a HUGE amount of equity the last 2 years! If you would like to own a bigger, better home you now have the equity to do it. Plus LOW interest rates if you are getting a loan. You can also pay cash for a smaller home and save the rest for retirement! Imagine no house payment...

If you don't want to move, take some equity out and do that fixing and upgrading you have wanted to do for years! As always, upgrading kitchens and baths will pay off when you do decide to sell. I have been a licensed REALTOR in Southern California for over 43 years, a salesperson since 1976 and a Broker since 1981. For 13 years I owned Century 21 Rana Linka & Co. and have since managed Fred Sands, Coldwell Banker and ReMax OTB.

I am currently part of a top producing Real Estate team with my husband, Joel Linka (Buyer Specialist), for Pinnacle Estate Properties in Northridge and serve as Director of Compliance for all 10 offices in the Southern California area. I am a statewide instructor for the California Association of Realtors. I have taught for the CSMAR Association of Realtors and have been a Master Instructor for Southland Regional Association of Realtors for over 30 years.

I am currently a Director at SRAR and am under contract with the California Association of Realtors as an Instructor, as well as being a Director.
