A special shoutout to my sellers for trusting me to represent their amazing cottage on Wild Goose Pond! This was certainly a bittersweet sale. After so many years of summers on the pond, days at camp, and countless memories made here, saying goodbye to a place this special isn’t easy.

Some properties are so much more than real estate — they’re part of a family’s story. I’m incredibly grateful to have been trusted with this chapter and to help pass this beautiful little piece of Wild Goose Pond on to its next owners.

This special home, owned and loved by the same family since 1950, has officially been sold. ❤️ A chapter closed after 76 years of history, family, and memories — and now, this home is ready for its next steward. But this closing was especially meaningful to me.

When I was just 10 years old, I used to walk up and down Province Road with my homemade “Odd Jobs” flyer, offering to mow lawns, rake, clean… whatever someone would hire me to do. Apparently, entrepreneurship started early. 😂

Mr. and Mrs. Brown hired me to sweep their driveway. My going rate? $10 a sweep. (Please take note of that long, steep driveway- LOL!) Quite the little side hustle… although looking back, I’m not entirely sure who was helping whom. ❤️ Years later, when I began my real estate career, they supported me then, too. In fact, they saved one of my real estate postcards and tucked it away in the folder they kept for their home records.

When Mr. and Mrs. Brown passed away, their children were faced with the incredibly emotional task of selling the home their parents built — the home they were raised in, and the place that held a lifetime of their family’s memories. And tucked inside that property folder, they found my postcard.

Talk about a full-circle moment. ❤️

When we sat down together, I got to tell them the story of their parents hiring little 10-year-old me to sweep their driveway for $10 — and assure them that, unfortunately, my rates have gone up a little since then. 😉. What could have been an incredibly painful process became something really special. We laughed. We hugged. We told stories. And through their mom and dad, we already had a connection that had started decades before any of us knew it would matter.

There are some closings that are about much more than real estate. This was one of them. Thank you to the Brown family for trusting me with something so deeply personal. It was truly an honor to help close this chapter — and pretty incredible to think it all started with a $10 driveway sweep on Province Road. ❤️
