The lender will help you set your budget and give you a realistic idea of what you can afford, additionally your pre-approval letter will give you the ability to actually offer on a home!

2. Go see everything, even homes you might not be interested in. When buying your first home sometimes it’s easy to fall head over heels with anything that’s not your one bedroom apartment or your parent’s basement. You want to be sure that whatever home you end up buying is truly the one for you and the more you see the more you’ll know which one is right for you!
