In October 2017, I walked away from a career most people would call a dream job.
Strategic Sourcing Manager for Construction at Bloomberg LP. Million-dollar contracts. Nationwide build-outs. The kind of job that came with a title and a pension and a plan.
But I'd already made my decision. Three years earlier — in 2014, while still at Bloomberg — I bought my first New Jersey fix-and-flip. One project. Then another. Then another.
I rolled my 401(k) into a corporation. I founded Jermarke Development Corporation. I launched Property Buyer New Jersey.
Not because I needed to. Because I'd spent 14 years learning what quality actually looks like — and I wanted to build something I was proud of.
