🌊 Hurricane Season Is Here: Are You Prepared? 🌀

Living on the coast is a dream, but it also means being prepared for hurricane season, which runs from June 1 through November 30.

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is: “I don’t need flood insurance because I’m not in a flood zone.” The reality is that flooding can happen anywhere, and many flood insurance claims come from properties outside of high-risk flood zones.

A few things to know:
✔️ Homeowners insurance typically does NOT cover flood damage.
✔️ Flood insurance often has a waiting period before coverage begins.
✔️ Even heavy rain, storm surge, and drainage issues can cause costly flooding.
✔️ Knowing your evacuation zone and having an emergency plan is just as important as protecting your home financially.
