Possessing underwriting skills and knowledge of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae guidelines enabled me to resolve a dispute with a lender. The lender initially insisted on issuing a FHA pre-approval based on the client's limited credit history. However, I provided the relevant guidelines, which clearly stated that non-traditional credit can be used to qualify with a middle score of 639, exceeding the required minimum of 620.
