A heartfelt tribute to a very special guy. We will
miss you dearly Tom Carraher. The Oak Park Area Association of Realtors (OPAAR) has a very special bond. Many of us have worked together for 30-40 years. We old-timers have dubbed ourselves “The Realtor Rat Pack.” Tom was part of that pack. It cuts deep to lose one of our own. Tom, we were some of your biggest fans. We watched you over your 34-year career do amazing things. You were 2020 REALTOR OF THE YEAR. You were President of the Oak Park Huskie Booster Club. You spearheaded the Stockings for Troops Program - sending thousands of goody stuffed stockings around the globe every Christmas. Your commitment was inspiring and your heart as big as your laugh. It was so much fun watching you form your own band The Island of Misfit Toys. You got us off our couches on Friday or Saturday nights to hear you jam. We all looked forward to your Facebook LIVE PERFORMANCES during the pandemic. They were a mix of rock star energy and stand-up comedy. We were all dancing along in our living rooms. (Well, maybe just Marion)😂💃 You had a knack for making friends everywhere you went whether you were closing a deal or dancing like a star at the OPAAR gatherings. If there’s a rock n’ roll heaven…we know you’ll be leading the band. 🎶🎵🎤We will be your fans forever: Greer Haseman, Patti Sprafka Wagner, Marion Digre, Jane Mc Clelland, Patricia McGowan, Jan Kerr Jan Raspatello, and April Moon. We speak for all of OPAAR. We love you Tom❤️
