🎃 Happy Halloween! Here are a few trick-or-treating tips for a fun and safe holiday. 👻

Add glow sticks, reflective tape, or flashlights so kids are visible in the dark.

Go in groups or with an adult—safety in numbers!

Make sure costumes fit well and shoes are comfy for lots of walking.

Pick well-lit neighborhoods and stick to sidewalks.

Winter is just around the corner, and it's important to prepare your home for the colder months ahead. Here are some valuable tips to help you winterize your home and ensure that you're ready for the cold months ahead.

🏡Inside

- Seal drafts: Use weatherstripping or caulk around windows, doors, and baseboards to keep warm air in.
- Insulate pipes: Wrap exposed pipes with insulation to prevent freezing and bursting.
- Check your furnace and change filters.
- Reverse ceiling fans: Set fans to rotate clockwise to push warm air down.
- Test alarms: Replace batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
- Prepare an emergency kit: Keep flashlights, blankets, and extra water in case of power outages.

🌳Outside

- Clean gutters: Remove leaves and debris so melting snow can drain properly.
- Inspect the roof: Repair damaged shingles or flashing to prevent leaks from snow and ice.
- Drain outdoor faucets: Disconnect hoses and shut off exterior spigots to prevent frozen pipes.
