🏆 We have an official winner in our “Oldest Building” scavenger hunt!
Congratulations to Becca, whose submission of the Garland/Garling House at 241 Home Ave. took the prize. Widely believed to date back to the 1850s, it’s often recognized as the oldest home in Oak Park. 🏡
Becca also included a bonus photo of the Frank Lloyd Wright Home & Studio, built in 1889 — but in the end, the older estimate won out!
We also loved Hannah’s submission of 209 S. Grove, (built in 1887) another beautiful historic home that made this scavenger hunt extra fun. 👏
Thanks to everyone who explored Oak Park, Forest Park, Austin, and River Forest with us — and congratulations again to Becca on winning the $50 gift card to Mulata Kitchen + Coffee ☕✨
