UPDATE 6:19 PM: Power is restored following a widespread outage across the East side of the City. Less than a dozen homes remain without power.

UPDATE 4:54 PM: Oak Ridge Electric crews have identified the cause of the widespread outage affecting the east side of the city and are currently making repairs in the area of Illinois Avenue and Scarboro Road.

Many customers remain without power or are experiencing partial power. Repairs are expected to take several hours, and additional outages or brief interruptions may occur as crews work to safely restore service.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as our crews work to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. We will provide additional updates as more information becomes available.

LARGE POWER OUTAGE: Oak Ridge Electric crews are responding to a large outage on the east side of the City. Multiple traffic lights are out in Oak Ridge Turnpike. Treat any blinking or off traffic lights like a 4-way stop.
