A past client of mine reached out this weekend after I wished him a happy home anniversary. Instead of celebrating, he shared that his family had canceled their plans because of the devastating flooding in Nepal and was focusing on helping raise money for those affected.

The images and stories coming out of Nepal are heartbreaking. Communities have been devastated, families have lost loved ones and homes, and search and rescue efforts are still underway.

DJ shared a direct way to donate to Nepal’s Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, and I told him I would help spread the word.

🏡 **Greensboro home sold, and this one has a STORY.**

4273 Harbor Ridge Drive is officially CLOSED! 🎉

This sale did not take the path any of us expected. We were originally under contract with a 30-day closing, but after we passed that deadline, we learned the buyer was no longer able to qualify for financing.

So, back on the market we went.

My sellers could have been discouraged. Instead, they stayed focused, kept the home ready, and trusted the process while we worked to find the right next buyer.

And we did. ❤️

The home went under contract again, this time with an FHA buyer, and we made it all the way from contract to CLOSED in just under four weeks.

I especially want to recognize my sellers. They were wonderful throughout the process and genuinely wanted the next owners to receive a great home. Even after the disappointment of the first contract, they kept moving forward and worked hard to get this one across the finish line.

Real estate doesn't always go according to the original plan. Sometimes the real work happens after the plan falls apart.

Sometimes this job is just business. And then sometimes it is your aunt. 🏡

Sandy and Chad made the decision to leave Arizona — the heat, the pace, all of it — and start a new chapter in North Carolina. They found a beautiful home in Kernersville with trees, acreage, and family right around the corner. Kelley made the trip out too — cheering them on from the hotel with the dogs. 🐾

But they still had a house to sell in Arizona first. I connected them with an agent who had strong ties to an investor network out there. The first contract cancelled — but a second one came quickly, and that house closed. Then this one closed.

I am so proud of them for making such a big leap. And I am so glad I got to help make it happen on both ends.

..don't settle for "good enough."

When they found the right builder, they didn't just accept the original floor plan. They asked questions, shared ideas, and completely reimagined what would become the heart of their home. (Trust me...the original kitchen was about the size of a shoebox! 😄)

Because they got involved early in the building process, they were able to redesign the kitchen, choose their cabinet color, and select many of the finishes throughout the home. The result is a space that feels uniquely their's before they ever unpacked a single box.

And the timing couldn't be sweeter. This October, they'll bring home their precious baby to a home that was thoughtfully designed with their growing family in mind. ❤️

Helping this family has been especially meaningful. We sold Evan and Alyssa's home on NC-150 at the end of June, recently helped Evan's sister, Emma, purchase her own home just a few minutes away, and their mom, Marsha, left me one of the most heartfelt reviews I've ever received.

I have known Emma since she was born. 🏡

She is marrying Matthew in February, and today I handed them the keys to their very first home together. Emma is a labor and delivery nurse. Matthew is in HVAC. Two hardworking young people with great careers, and State Employees Credit Union recognized exactly that — approving them on the strength of what they do.

They looked at two houses, found the one, and closed on a new-ish construction home on a full acre in Asheboro, right between both of their jobs. Not bad for just starting out.

This is now the entire White family. Every single member. Bought a home. I have helped all of them.

This is why I do what I do.

Just closed on this beauty in Greensboro — and this one was personal. 🏡

I have known this family for 22 years. I helped these sellers purchase this home. I attended their wedding. And now, with their family expanding, I had the honor of helping them sell it too.

Walking in to prepare for listing, I was genuinely stopped in my tracks. Show-ready from day one — not because we staged it, but because they simply take care of things. They added the screened porch, finished the basement as a gym, and loved every inch of this painted brick ranch. It showed.
