2021 came and went and not without its share of challenges. The year turned out to be very productive and successful for me professionally as I was able to assist 22 clients in buying and selling their properties, totaling over $25 Million in closed transactions. I can't even begin to share the amount of gratitude I feel for these great clients who entrusted me with their Real Estate needs. After 33 years in and around the biz of Real Estate, I’m still happy to say that I love what I do! Here are some highlights from 2021. 2022 is already quite busy and it looks like another busy year in this wonderful business!

Well, I can assure you that a $15k tax credit for a first time home buyer will certainly be meaningful! I’m not sure how it will help with the shortage of inventory but thats more of a local issue in select markets than a national one.

President-elect Joe Biden's housing agenda is focused on affordability. Changes to mortgage lending and home construction will be key.

It's been a crazy period in Real Estate since we began the SIP in mid March. The resurgence of buying was unforeseen and the velocity that we've experienced is beyond anyone's imagination. We've seen more high end properties sell these past 5 months than in any period in decades.
I'm finally starting to see a rollover in inventory this week which will be a welcome sign for our buyer community. More soon as this develops. Stay tuned!

SOLD! This kitchen has a new owner! Congratulations to the new buyer and seller of my listing at 5779 Balmoral Drive, Oakland. We were only on the market for 8 days but the prior 6 weeks were filled with the pre-sale prep. New kitchen, updated baths, paint and more.
We came on at $1.295m and closed at $1.475m!
It's very gratifying when a seller is very pleased with my work!

The local Bay Area market has gone from a standstill in March to absolutely Red Hot! I'm seeing 5-10 offers on properties consistently. I had clients this week just miss out on a property that had 17 offers.
I hear from prospective move up buyers that this new normal of working from home is motivating them to buy a larger home. Other clients are buying up to create multigenerational living. The challenge for many is finding the downpayment to be able to purchase the new home first and then sell afterward.
Compass has come up with a solution for those who'd like to buy now and secure their new home first, then sell afterward. It's a great program and is working well for those in this situation.

Here's an interesting chart of Real Estate appreciation where they've compared the Bay Area market vs the nation. Some say investing in the stock market is best, others say Real Estate. I say, invest in yourself first, then reap the dividends!

Hello everyone,
Since Covid started grinding us to a standstill, I’ve been watching the banking/mortgage industry closely as that’s where I spent much of my career and it obviously ties directly into my real estate business.
I started asking about equity lines a month ago as I vividly remember what banks did in relation to them in the 2008-2010 financial debacle.
As it turns out, banks/lenders are acting similarly to that time even though this isn’t a banking crisis. If we combine this announcement with recent history, it would make sense to think that banks which offer Equity lines will “FREEZE” the lines soon which means that you wont have access to tap into those funds which you think today that you can use. So, if you think you may need or are counting on using your equity line, you may want to draw it soon before they take away your access. Just a suggestion friends.

Banks have been retreating from loans tied to housing as the coronavirus pandemic impacts home values and the creditworthiness of borrowers.
