Every April, REALTORS® commemorate the passage of the Fair Housing Act of 1968 with events and education that shine a light on housing discrimination and segregation, and a recommitment to expanding equal access to housing.

Hello Spring!

Someone (not me 😊) said that “Spring is the season of new beginnings.”

I love that. Spring is not only the time when we look for temperatures to begin to rise and we start to see new blooms on our plants and new flowers on the trees; it’s also the Spring Equinox, the 1st of two times during the year when we have equal amounts of day and night, and our days start to grow longer! Science, right!!!

Important information to have. This should be a part of our early education curriculum.

According to the U.S. Treasury’s Financial Literacy and Education Commission, financial literacy is “the ability to use knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively for a lifetime of financial wellbeing."

They go on to explain that there are five key components to financial literacy, which you can see in this chart.
